The three new additions are the six-day Danube’s Imperial Cities & Yuletide Markets cruise calling at Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava; the eight-day Bruges, Medieval Flanders, Amsterdam & the Dutch Bulbfields calling at Antwerp, Amsterdam, Arnhem and Bruges; and the five-day Enchanting Rhine Yuletide Markets calling at Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Bonn and Cologne.

All of Riviera Travel’s solo river cruises include direct flights from one of 13 UK airports, full-board dining, a double cabin and daily excursions.

3. The Riviera Travel fleet

Riviera Travel has 14 luxury European river ships – with a further two ships (the 178-passenger Riviera Resplendence) and the 70-passenger Victoria Mekong) set to join its fleet in 2026 – featuring some of the largest suites and cabins in the cruise industry.

The vessels, which are largely named after famous British writers, carry between 121 and 178 passengers meaning they never feel overly crowded.

The line also operates a ship on the Nile and another on the Mekong, six 40-passenger yachts – step forward MS II Mare, MS Adriatic Sun, MV Corona, MS Stella Maris, MS Adriatic Sky, and MS Mendula – that sail Croatia’s Adriatic coastline, in addition to three tall ships (Royal Clipper, Star Clipper and Star Flyer).

New ships on the horizon Riviera Radiance (178 passengers), Riviera Rose (114 passengers)

Scheduled to set sail in March 2025, the 178-passenger Riviera Radiance will feature three restaurants and the line’s largest suites. Spread across 344 square feet, the Grand Suites will come replete with a separate lounge and their own seated balcony.

Then in April 2025, the 114-passenger Riviera Rose will enter service offering 57 cabins including four Balcony Suites with outside seating. Like its sister ship Riviera Radiance, Riviera Rose will have a bar and lounge, fitness room and a sun deck with a swimming pool spread across its three floors.
