Las Vegas – High school athletes across Southern Nevada turned in impressive showings on March 9 in baseball, softball and boys volleyball, with several lopsided victories and standout individual efforts.[1]

Several local squads dominated their opponents on the diamond. Centennial edged out Desert Hills from Utah 6-5 in a close contest, while Doral Academy routed Desert Pines 15-3.[1]
Faith Lutheran shut out Bonanza 15-0, and Palo Verde blanked Clark 12-0. Moapa Valley also cruised past Del Sol 13-2. These results highlighted strong pitching and timely hitting early in the season.
