Indianapolis Colts Break Through with First Win of 2026 Season in Week 3 Clash Against Houston Texans
Defensive Mastery Propels Colts to Victory Over Texans
In a pivotal Week 3 showdown, the Indianapolis Colts finally snapped their winless streak of the 2026 NFL season by outplaying the Houston Texans, largely thanks to a formidable defensive display. From the opening whistle, the Colts’ defense relentlessly pressured Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, disrupting Houston’s offensive flow and forcing critical turnovers. Cornerback Mike Jones Jr. emerged as a defensive standout, snagging two interceptions that shifted momentum decisively. Linebacker DeMarvin Leal also made his presence felt with a team-leading 12 tackles and a vital sack late in the game, sealing the Texans’ fate.

Running back Jonathan Taylor contributed 95 rushing yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Matt Ryan efficiently directed the offense, completing 22 of 30 passes for 250 yards. The Colts controlled the clock and capitalized on turnovers, which proved essential in securing their 24-10 triumph.
