This luxury resort has just 11 large villas on a privately run island a short helicopter ride from the main island of Mahé.

Ten Presidential Villas start from €2,582 (£2,168) per night, while number 11, Villa North Island, which is the largest and most exclusive, starts from €4,079 (£3,425).

The piazza (pictured) is the social hub of the hotel.
