There’s a strange kind of curiosity that pulls you toward things everyone agrees are terrible. Maybe it’s the same instinct that makes people slow down at a fender bender. I spent several weekends this year tracking down and watching ten films that critics have collectively torn apart, some scoring a flat zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and I came out the other side with a few sore eyes and a strange respect for how spectacularly a movie can misfire.
