Everybody is aware of AIs don’t have emotions. What this present presupposes is … possibly they do?

After one episode that was all procedural investigation and one other that was all cagey conversations, VisionQuest continues with an episode stuffed with confrontations and commitments. Some characters declare their intentions with battle. Others kiss. Whereas Ultron is pleased with conserving his loyalties secret, quite a lot of loyalties seemingly get settled this episode. However the technique of pinning down everybody’s emotions makes for an easy, workmanlike episode: “Impasse” covers necessary floor, nevertheless it’s largely lacking the earlier two installments’ playfulness and creativity.
“Impasse” opens with Ultron’s reunion with Jocasta. Her metallic physique is in Josephine Carrington’s mausoleum, alongside a mysterious gray machine. However she meets the at present bodiless Ultron in her mindspace: a brilliant, minimalist white room with a number of easy bot servants, a relentless soundtrack of classical music and opera, and a few cardboard bins. These, she says, include the few recollections she didn’t lose in transferring from a human physique to a metallic one.
